I was invited to create an illustration for the 95th-anniversary commemorative panettone from Kopenhagen. My inspiration for the packaging came from the old tradition of hanging real fruits on Christmas trees. I explored the concept of 'fruit' in two ways: literally, by representing the apricot, and metaphorically, symbolizing the fruits of the seeds we planted throughout the year, the achievements we celebrate collectively during the holidays. I used Kopenhagen red to celebrate the 95 years of the brand and a dark shade of greenish-gray, offering a less conventional approach to the classic Christmas color duo. I combined this duo with vibrant colors to modernize the tradition. Finally, the gold elements add a touch of optimism, closing the year and illuminating the paths to 2024.
