Relic, 2021
Wooden Reliquaries for Amarello.
I created this series for the new edition of Feira Amarello "Yes, nós somos barrocos" (Yes, we are baroque").
Reliquaries are objects originally made to store relics, treasures or memories. In my version, I transformed the reliquaries into hybrid objects, where botanical elements gain a geometric interpretation and blend in with the tradicional shapes of sacred reliquaries. At the center of each of them, there is a small mirror reflecting ourselves and the world around us.
